Absent Body

Absent Body is a video essay about the search for my father, an exploration of absence, memory, and the traces we leave behind. Combining archival material with video performance, the film navigates personal history through fragmented narratives and embodied gesture.

The work includes performative sequences in which I trace my body and shadows using chalk and other materials. These actions, staged in public spaces, become quiet rituals of presence and disappearance. Absent Body invites viewers to reflect on how absence is felt, remembered, and made visible through the body and its gestures.
